The Board of Outreach focuses on ways we can serve those in the community outside our doors and in the world beyond. Throughout the year we provide various opportunities to our service-oriented congregation, by which folks can aid in whatever ways are available to them. We have sponsored community-level events such as holiday photos, free markets for teen vendors of handmade products, and give free space and donation support to a local food pantry. We also provide literature and donation information that enables those who desire, to give funds to world-wide organizations sponsored by our UCC conference. And we actively support full inclusion and radical welcome by sponsoring the Rainbow Cafe, the Fitz teen clothing event, Pagez Book Club and attending Pride Parades and celebrations. In addition, we work with Just Jess and Braver Angels, groups who give periodic sessions where we learn better techniques for communication among groups with different ideologies or outlooks. In addition, we support the Sandwich Line.
